Buddies!

Today we had the privilege of  spending some time with our grade 1/2 buddies from Ms. Niemi's class. We spent time listening to them read to us, we read them some of our books and helped them practice their sight words. It was very exciting!

Conferences This Week

Hello families of Room 18,

Just a gentle reminder that conferences are this week Thursday evening from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm and Friday morning from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. I would love a chance to sit down with you and talk about how your wonderful kids are doing in school. Electricity in Our Homes and Schools

This week in Room 18 we have been exploring where we find electricity in our homes and schools. We learned that our electronics can be categorized into 4 main uses...see our charts below

 

Electricity at home

The students in grade 4/5 are now exploring the the Science unit of Electricity and Magnetism. This week in room 18 we are focusing on identifying electrical devices used in the home and school environments and classifying them into categories. Can you please help your child create a list at home of all the electronic devices they can find around their house?
